THE CRUISE WEB
The design goal was to create a colorful, bold, exciting, and inspiring space which would increase employee satisfaction, productivity and retention. The space was also designed to be a successful recruiting tool. Every significant design element, from large scale architecture to materials and details, was created as a thematic representation of a cruise ship or the cruising experience. Angled walls and other unique diagonal elements create an overall aesthetic of movement and the representation of a ship’s recognizable geometries.

SELF-SUSTAINING RESTAURANT
The vision of this project is to provide a full circle mealtime experience to the community and visitors by combining agricultural, food preparation, and dining processes in a self-sustaining way. Community members would be encouraged to spend time in the gardens and help with meal preparation in return for a delicious, organic meal. Those passing through could also pay to eat in the restaurant, generating income for operations and maintenance. Alternative energy methods, landfill diversion, and other environmental measures are utilized effortlessly.

APPALACHIA ONCOLOGY CENTER
The Appalachia Oncology Center will serve as a realm of escape and relaxation for patients and family as they endure the long healing process. The integration of the Building’s Location, Site, and Interior with the surrounding community and region will promote both the economy and the overall health of the area. Main design objectives: Break down visual barriers between interior and exterior to utilize natural light, making the Center feel more like a healing escape rather than a medical institution.

EDF HEADQUARTERS
In approaching the design of the Environmental Defense Fund headquarters, my main objective was to create a space that encourages interaction and collaboration by use of permeating spaces, people, and energy. The mission goals, approaches, and work areas each consist of four separate parts that in totality strengthen and enhance both the short and long term goals of the EDF. Utilizing this four-part structure to inform the overall design of the space will develop cohesion between the workspace and the vision of the EDF.
